Marianne Mesnil received an ethno-anthropologist training at the Free University of Brussels. She specialized herself in the study of Romania where she traveled for the first time as a student in 1967. She then made numerous field trips throughout the period marked by the regime of Ceausescu. She is now professor emeritus at the ULB where she taught anthropology of Europe.
For the opening of the 2016 edition of the Festival, we propose to watch a short anthropological film followed by a discussion with the author about his book:
